In support of the YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign local philanthropist, business owner and entrepreneur, Chuck Brennan is raising the stakes pledging a recording-breaking STRONG KIDS donation of $12,500 in support of this year’s fundraising efforts. This is the highest single donation ever made to the STRONG KIDS CAMPAIGN in it’s history. As a Sioux Falls youth Brennan has very fond memories of the YMCA and continues to show his commitment to the community with this latest donation.
The Strong Kids Campaign helps over 500 individuals and families in need participate in YMCA programs, such as Leif Ericson Day Camp, Camp Scholarships, Youth basketball, and Child Watch. Donations from partners and caring individuals make it possible for the YMCA to provide the necessary services and programs which are needed.
Brennan has strong ties to the YMCA. “My first job at the age of 14 was at the YMCA in the fitness center doing laundry and washing towels” says Brennan, “It is critical to keep organizations like the YMCA thriving so the youth of South Dakota have a place that can provide them an opportunity to succeed and grow.”
