Dollar Loan Center invests in safer communities at LVMPD’s Joint Emergency Training Institute

Five years after the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s (LVMPD) Joint Emergency Training Institute (JETI) opened its doors, Dollar Loan Center (DLC) is still investing in the people who train to protect Las Vegas.

In 2024, Dollar Loan Center donated $250,000 to the LVMPD Foundation to support a state-of-the-art training facility, and this month unveiled a full replica of a DLC store, to help law enforcement and first responders prepare for real-world scenarios. Decked out in its iconic yellow and black color scheme, the replica DLC facility features offices, desks, and computers to simulate potential environments officers may find themselves in on the line of duty.

Dollar Loan Center founder and CEO Chuck Brennan hopes the DLC facility inside the JETI will inspire other community organizations to support LVMPD training initiatives, and invest in the safety of the community they operate in every day.

“We wanted to be a catalyst for other businesses,” Brennan said. “For the gas stations, for the casinos, the banks, the convenience store — everybody should be doing it this cool.”

The DLC facility, now open for training simulations inside the JETI, was featured at the 13th annual Best of the Badge Gala on Oct. 10, 2026, hosted by the LVMPD, honoring officers who distinguish themselves in the line of duty. Dollar Loan Center is proud to sponsor the event for a third consecutive year.

The JETI facility officially opened on Oct. 1, 2021, on the four-year anniversary of the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy on the Las Vegas Strip, which inspired the LVMPD Foundation to invest in multi-agency response training for critical incidents. Since its opening the JETI facility has expanded to a 180,000-square-foot training campus in Northeast Las Vegas.

“Having a facility like this to be able to provide the most realistic training for our cops means that they will have better performance in those times of crisis when they are out there on the streets,” said Sheriff Kevin McMahill. “My intent with these buildings is to continue to make our community more safe by having better trained officers out there in the field that have already gone through these kinds of scenarios… that we’ve never been able to do before.”

In 2023, Dollar Loan Center was inaugurated into the LVMPD Foundation 100 Club, honoring community leaders who support the LVMPD Foundation through investments in public safety programs across Clark County.

Dollar Loan Center puts the community in community lending

Since 1998 Dollar Loan Center has been helping the Las Vegas community more than just putting dollars in your pocket when you need it. Founders Mary and Chuck Brennan ensured that community giving, advocacy, and philanthropy is built into the heart of Dollar Loan Center’s ethos, with more than $1 million given back to community initiatives since 2021.

As Dollar Loan Center expands across the west into states like Utah, Idaho, and Wisconsin, DLC is proud to support the local communities it now calls home. Dollar Loan Center was the presenting sponsor of the 2026 NEW Dancing with Our Stars fundraiser, which raised over $560,000 for local Wisconsin nonprofits, following Dollar Loan Center’s opening of 27 new locations in Wisconsin in the last year.
