Sixteen Years Here, and I’m Still Learning
I was hired in January 2010 as a Loan Processor at the Cheyenne and Rainbow location. That was a busy location, and I caught on quickly. By 2011, I was a keyholder and had transferred to Desert Breeze and Durango, then I transferred to Robindale in 2013.
I ended up running Robindale in 2014 as a keyholder due to a staffing issue, along with one loan processor. There were times when it was hectic, but I knew how to run a location, so I just ran it. I made sure we made the EMI calls and collection calls, and processed as many new loans as possible, while making the best decisions I could when approving or denying them, regardless of the staff shortage. Having one loan processor had us both stretched pretty thin, but ultimately we got the job done.
We thrived and received Store of the Year for 2014. I was so proud. Store of the Year was simply based on growth and collections, and the staffing emergency did not impact those factors. We took the steps to grow, and I knew how to collect effectively.
They promoted me to Store Manager of that location, and during that time we grew quite a bit. In 2018, we reached a store milestone, and we received Store of the Year again for 2018.
In 2023, I was transferred to the Account Recovery department at corporate. When I was offered the position, I asked my supervisor for a day to think it over. I had bonded with so many of my customers. They were loyal to me, and leaving that behind was not an easy decision. In the end, this was an opportunity to acquire a new skill set, and so I accepted.
I enjoy working with folks to help them get current on their obligations. I’m proud to contribute to that. My advice to other employees is to embrace change, because this field is constantly changing, and that keeps us learning and growing.
I’ve been with the company for 16 years, and I am so grateful for this experience.
