Early this morning, Dollar Loan Center Founder & CEO, Chuck Brennan, sent the following letter to Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak in regards to helping federal employees effected by the government shutdown…
Effective today, Dollar Loan Center is offering emergency interest-free loans to federal employees that are not being paid as a result of the federal government shutdown.
The interest-free loans of up to $2,500 will be made available to federal government employees residing in Nevada and Utah who have either been furloughed or are forced to work without pay during the shutdown.
There will be no interest charged or any payments required until after the end of the shutdown.
Loans that are paid in full within 10 days of the government re-opening will have a 0% APR and no added fees. The borrower simply has to pay back the principal they borrowed once they get paid. After the 10 day grace period, normal loan terms will apply on any outstanding balances. All applicants must meet normal loan requirements and be able to prove their furloughed status.
