Henderson Little League is one of the reasons this city is one of the greatest places to live in Nevada and we are proud to be a part of its success.”</p><p>Hundreds of players, coaches, parents and volunteers were on hand to celebrate the league’s 2013 season opener, held at Heritage Park. Dollar Loan Center has been a major sponsor of the organization for the past three years and has given a total of $50,000 to provide the league with operating costs including uniforms, park fees, equipment and staffing at games.</p><p>“Henderson Little League is an incredible community organization that gives 600 children an opportunity to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, playing fair and of course the great game of baseball,” said Brennan. “I am happy to support such a great organization in our community.”</p><p>Henderson Little League was home to Nevada’s District 2 Champions in 2012, and Brennan provided an additional sponsorship to help the team attend the tournament.</p><p>Brennan is one of Nevada’s most recognized philanthropists, giving hundreds of thousands every year to organizations in Nevada and throughout the country. Henning, Sanderson and Bergh were the new branchs first customers on its opening day November 5.</p><p>Dollar Loan Center majority owner Chuck Brennan committed the funds to the neighborhood during the grand opening of his Brennan Rock &amp; Roll Academy last month, where he committed $3 million to the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire for the next 20 years for its operations. He also dedicated a new Pettigrew Heights neighborhood entryway sign at the grand opening.</p><p>Brennan has been a vocal supporter of Pettigrew Heights revitalization. The executive grew up in the area and built his corporate headquarters on a city block in the neighborhood which houses three buildings. Over the past several years, he has invested millions of dollars into the redevelopment and revitalization of Pettigrew Heights.</p><p>Our neighborhood association is excited to welcome One American Bank to Pettigrew Heights, and are grateful that this block is seeing so many wonderful upgrades, said Sanderson.  We are also very grateful to Dollar Loan Center for its significant investment for our neighborhood associations future work, he said, referencing the areas future plans for a multi-unit dwelling.</p><p>The Pettigrew Heights Neighborhood encompasses the areas between 9<sup>th</sup> and 16<sup>th</sup> Streets from Grange Avenue to Minnesota Avenue.  The Pettigrew Heights Neighborhood Association acts as a voice to those who live and work in the historic neighborhood. Through partnerships with the City of Sioux Falls, nonprofit organizations and businesses, the association works to bring about positive changes to the area.</p><p>Brennan is a well-known philanthropist in Sioux Falls and has given millions of dollars to community organizations in South Dakota and Nevada as well as national organizations. Since 2010, the company has pledged $100 to the Las Vegas charity for every day the temperature in Southern Nevada reaches 100 degrees or more.</p><p>This year, the Las Vegas valley recorded 81 days of 100 + degree temperatures, up from 73 days in 2011. The company continued its tradition of rounding its commitment up to $15,000 for Opportunity Village.</p><p>Dollar Loan Center is the perfect example of a caring, concerned local business that supports the community in which it operates, said Linda Smith, chief development officer and Foundation associate executive director at Opportunity Village The Heat is On is a terrific fundraiser. Every day it is over 100 degrees, a cheer goes up at Opportunity Village! We are very grateful for our relationship with Dollar Loan Center and Chuck Brennan. There are three thousand people with disabilities and their families who call them heroes.</p><p><a href="http://www.opportunityvillage.org/">Opportunity Village</a> is one of Brennans favorite non-profits. In addition to his $45,000 in donations from the past three Heat Is On campaigns, he also supports the charitys events and even creates his own fun challenges to raise money. In 2011, Brennan pledged $100 for every touchdown his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders, scored during the regular season.</p><p>The team scored 38 touchdowns and Brennan donated $3,800 to Opportunity Village. It was a great way to cheer on the team and raise money for this great organization, he said. Opportunity Village does great work in Southern Nevada. It is a pleasure to help organizations that care so much about our community.</p><p>Opportunity Village is Nevadas largest not-for-profit organization serving citizens with intellectual disabilities. The Brennan Rock &amp; Roll Academy will provide the first ever music education for children in the club, focusing on Rock &amp; Roll instruments including guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.</p><p>The 6,000 square foot Academy is expected to open in the Spring and includes donated instruments from Brennans famous friends like 5 Drum Kits from Joey Allen of Pearl Drums and Founder of Warrant, Guitars from KISS, and more from Alice Cooper and Mick Fleetwood.</p><p>Brennan, founder and CEO of <strong><a href="http://www.dontbebroke.com/?utm_source=Sarah-Thornton&amp;utm_medium=DBB-Blog&amp;utm_campaign=BRRA" target="_blank">Dollar Loan Center</a></strong>, operates businesses in Nevada, California, Utah and South Dakota. Born in South Dakota, his first major entrepreneurial effort was when he opened and operated one of the largest Rock &amp; Roll concert halls in the Midwest, The Blitz Ballroom. Iconic bands including Joan Jett, Steppenwolf, Quiet Riot and Blue Oyster Cult all graced the stage at the Blitz during Brennans ownership of the venue.</p><p>Since then, Brennans love for Rock &amp; Roll music has permeated his business ventures. Legends like Alice Cooper, KISS, Mick Fleetwood, Night Ranger and many others are personal friends and often make surprise appearances at Dollar Loan Center events. Alice Cooper, also a philanthropist and founder of the <strong><a href="http://www.alicecoopersolidrock.com/">Solid Rock Foundation in Phoenix</a></strong>, was on hand to congratulate his friend during the announcement of the Brennan Rock &amp; Roll Academy.</p><p>I grew up with the <strong><a href="http://www.youthenrichment.org/">Boys &amp; Girls Club</a></strong>, and have a lot of respect for the work they do in our communities, said Brennan. Im thrilled to share my love for music in general with kids who would normally not be able to afford to chase their musical passions.</p><p>Brennan has already appointed a Rock &amp; Roll Ambassador, Kory Van Sickle of the group <strong><a href="http://www.koryandthefireflies.com/">Kory and the Fireflies</a></strong>. Van Sickle will consult and co-create with the organization, and serve as a living example for the students at Brennan Rock &amp; Roll Academy said Brennan.</p><p>Members of the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire will receive one-on-one lessons with professional musicians, along with band rehearsals to prepare for performances with their peers. Van Sickle will also speak with Academy students and instructors, sharing his experiences with the intention of inspiring the future rock and rollers.</p><p>The facility and music programs will all be offered free to members of the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire, said Brennan. Music is an important part of our culture and can benefit these kids in many different ways. Plus it is just cool!</p><p>Brennan kicked off the Academy with a $100,000 upfront donation and a Three Million Dollar commitment to the program to get the entire state of the art facility up and running and keep it running for 20 years. Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan surprised thousands on the leagues opening night of its 25<sup>th</sup> season with a commitment of $25,000.</p><p>I cant tell you how many times weve come in second since the league was founded 25 years ago, said Robert Nelson, Henderson Little Leagues sponsorship coordinator. This means so much for these kids.</p><p>This years donation makes Dollar Loan Center the largest single contributor to Henderson Little League for the second year in a row. In 2011, Brennan committed $10,000 to the league upon hearing that several of its major sponsors had dropped out for economic reasons.</p><p><a href="http://www.eteamz.com/hendersonll/">Henderson Little League</a> has dedicated its 25<sup>th</sup> season to Cody Clark, 19, a former Henderson Little League player who was diagnosed with bone cancer earlier this year. Clark recently had his leg amputated and is currently undergoing physical therapy. During the opening ceremonies for the 2012 season, Brennan added to his commitment with an additional $5,000 donation to Clarks family for help with medical expenses.</p><p>Clark has been an inspiration to all the children who play in the league this year, according to Nelson. We tell the kids to go out there every game and make the most of it because you never know what the future may hold, he said.</p><p>If Henderson Little League wins the Nevada State Little League championship, the team will travel to San Bernardino, Calif. in early August for the Western District tournament.
