Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan Makes Third Annual Commitment To Henderson Baseball Club

Henderson Little League, the city’s largest youth baseball club, got a boost from Dollar Loan Center for its 2013 season. Chuck Brennan, the company’s CEO, made his third annual contribution to Henderson Little League at its opening ceremonies recently with a check for $10,000 and a commitment to support the organization for the next five years.

“This makes a total of $50,000 Dollar Loan Center has given to Henderson Little League,” said Brennan. “We believe that the league is great for the city of Henderson and families who live here. Henderson Little League is one of the reasons this city is one of the greatest places to live in Nevada and we are proud to be a part of its success.”

Hundreds of players, coaches, parents and volunteers were on hand to celebrate the league’s 2013 season opener, held at Heritage Park. Dollar Loan Center has been a major sponsor of the organization for the past three years and has given a total of $50,000 to provide the league with operating costs including uniforms, park fees, equipment and staffing at games.

“Henderson Little League is an incredible community organization that gives 600 children an opportunity to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, playing fair and of course the great game of baseball,” said Brennan. “I am happy to support such a great organization in our community.”

Henderson Little League was home to Nevada’s District 2 Champions in 2012, and Brennan provided an additional sponsorship to help the team attend the tournament.

Brennan is one of Nevada’s most recognized philanthropists, giving hundreds of thousands every year to organizations in Nevada and throughout the country. This year he is opening the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy which he founded in his hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Dollar Loan Center operates nearly 100 stores in Nevada, California, Utah and South Dakota. In 2012, the company was named a “Best Place To Work” In Southern Nevada by Vegas Inc magazine.  For more information, call 866-550-4352 or visit www.dontbebroke.com.

Touchdown! Opportunity Village Receives Thousands In Football Campaign

Written by Dollar Loan Center. Posted in Charity, DLC, News

Dollar Loan Center CEO Charles Brennan loves the Oakland Raiders. The long-time fan shared his enthusiasm for the team with one of his favorite local charities, Opportunity Village, this month in a new fundraising campaign.

“I want everyone to be as excited as I am about Raiders touchdowns, so I committed $100 for every touchdown the team scored during the regular season,” he said. “It was a great way to cheer on the team and raise money for this great organization.”

The Raiders scored 38 touchdowns during their regular football season, netting $3,800 to Opportunity Village. The donation follows a $15,000 donation Brennan made at the conclusion of Dollar Loan Center’s annual “Heat Is On” campaign in conjunction with Fox 5 News in Las Vegas.

“When you give from the heart, it can be a fun and rewarding experience,” said Linda Smith, chief development officer and associate executive director for Opportunity Village. “Charles and Dollar Loan Center set a great example for others to find fun ways to give. We appreciate him and all that he does for our organization.”

Brennan is a well-known philanthropist, giving more than $200,000 every year to deserving charities across the country. His local efforts include support of Opportunity Village and the Henderson Little League, among many others.

Dollar Loan Center Commits $100 to Opportunity Village For Every Raiders Touchdown This Season

Dollar Loan Center is continuing its commitment to Las Vegas’ “favorite charity” with a new campaign close to every football fan’s heart…touchdowns. Through the end of the season, the company will donate $100 to Opportunity Village for every touchdown made by the Oakland Raiders.

“I’ve been a Raiders fan since I was 12 years old, so it was the first team I thought of when we put this program together,” said Charles Brennan, CEO of Dollar Loan Center. “It’s a fun way to follow the games and raise money for an organization that really appreciates it.”

The Raiders’ first regular season game is scheduled for September 12 against the Denver Broncos. As part of the campaign, all Raiders games will be broadcast live on KLAV AM 1230. For the local schedule and details, visit www.klav1230am.com. To keep up with statistics for the Oakland Raiders this season, visit www.raiders.com.

“Last year, the Raiders scored 44 touchdowns in regular season play,” said Brennan. “I hope they score more than that this season. We look forward to helping Opportunity Village again and seeing the Raiders win.”

The football program follows Dollar Loan Center’s second annual “Heat Is On” campaign that gave Opportunity Village $100 for every day the temperature in Southern Nevada reached 100 degrees or more. Both last year and this year, Brennan’s company donated $15,000 to the charity.

“Opportunity Village is an organization that needs donations on a regular basis to help those who can’t otherwise help themselves,” said Brennan. “It serves community members that can’t speak for themselves and are often overlooked by major charitable programs. We hope this campaign will bring awareness to people who may otherwise not hear about them.”

“Dollar Loan Center has once again stepped up to the plate helping us raise desperately needed dollars to expand our programs and services for people with disabilities,” said Linda Smith, chief development officer and foundation associate executive director for Opportunity Village. We truly appreciate their efforts to help these important members of our community.”

Brennan is a well-known philanthropist in addition to serving as CEO of DLC Empire. Loan Shack, his company that provides online short-term loans, is in the process of expanding nationwide and is currently operating in 17 U.S. states.

Also this year, Brennan made a major commitment to a popular local youth sports program. Henderson Little League, on the brink of shutting down for the 2011 season due to loss of major sponsors, was able to resume operations with a $10,000 donation from Dollar Loan Center. More than 600 children participate in Henderson Little League, the city’s largest baseball organization.
