White Star Avenue in Anaheim. The store is one of four Dollar Loan Center plans to open in the next few weeks, with 20 scheduled throughout the state by the end of the year.

Dollar Loan Center, founded in 1998, is the largest provider of short term signature loans in Nevada with additional locations in Utah and South Dakota. “Our expansion to California is one we have been carefully planning and our flagship store in Anaheim is the perfect location,” said Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan. “It is conveniently located near the Riverside Freeway and Kraemer Blvd in the heart of Anaheim.”

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday. “And while our Anaheim store is fully staffed, we are hiring throughout the state,” said Brennan. Employment applications are being accepted via the company’s website at www.dontbebroke.com.

Dollar Loan Center offers signature, or short-term, loans in the amount of $2,500 to California residents. “The application, as with all of Dollar Loan Center’s online applications, is an easy one-page online form,” said Brennan.

Dollar Loan Center is the largest provider of short term credit services in South Dakota and Nevada with 51 locations throughout the two states and Utah. The philanthropic stores support dozens of organizations including Las Vegas’ favorite charity, Opportunity Village, and Alice and Sheryl Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation, among many others. Brennan himself is one of Nevada’s most recognized philanthropists, giving nearly $500,000 annually to charities across the country.

The company, which Entrepreneur Magazine listed among its “Hot 500 Fastest Growing Businesses and Entrepreneurs” in 2007, employs hundreds throughout Nevada, Utah and South Dakota.

Dollar Loan Center now offers Californians a new opportunity for short-term loans. This week the company began offering online loans throughout California with 20 physical locations planned to open by the end of the year. Dollar Loan Center is the largest provider of short term signature loans in Nevada with additional locations in Utah and South Dakota.

“Dollar Loan Center has been growing consistently every year since opening in 1998,” said CEO Chuck Brennan. “California is a natural progression of our statewide short-term loans in Nevada, Utah and South Dakota. We will open four physical locations within the next few weeks in Anaheim, Long Beach and Glendale with 20 locations throughout the state by the end of the year.”

Dollar Loan Center is now offering signature, or short-term, loans in the amount of $2,500 to California residents. “We decided to offer this loan because it was most closely related with our current lending products,” said Brennan. “The application, as with all of Dollar Loan Center’s online applications, is an easy one-page online form.”

The company’s entrance in California also creates job openings throughout the state to staff Dollar Loan Center stores. Applications are being accepted via the company’s website at www.dontbebroke.com.

Dollar Loan Center has launched a new website with increased functionality and even more convenient options than before. The site, located at www.dontbebroke.com, now offers customers the ability to complete an entire loan transaction online including the application and transfer of funds directly into a checking account or prepaid debit card.

“This is one more step in our mission to provide the easiest and most convenient options for short term loans in Nevada, Utah and South Dakota,” said Chuck Brennan, CEO of Dollar Loan Center. “Now you can complete a loan application on our website, and if you are approved the funds will be transferred to either your checking account or a prepaid Dollar Loan Center debit card.”

Brennan said the new site was designed to give customers convenient options for applying for and managing their short term loans. “Many of our customers enjoy visiting our stores and having a personal connection with Dollar Loan Center staff. Others prefer to complete their entire transactions securely online, from applying and funding to making their payments. All aspects can be completed online from the comfort of your home, office or smart phone.”

The website now includes more information on Dollar Loan Center as well, including its current social media contests and an easy-to-navigate store locator. The site is also home to Dollar Loan Center’s blog, which includes the company’s many charitable activities and tips on money management.

LAS VEGAS (March 2012) – Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan surprised a ball park full of little league baseball players and their parents at this year’s Henderson Little League Kick Off Celebration when he announced the company will more than double its $10,000 donation from 2011 to keep the league running. After hearing how many sponsors had pulled out of their commitments this year, Brennan increased his donation to $25,000 to commemorate the league’s 25th anniversary in 2012. This year’s donation makes Dollar Loan Center the largest single contributor to Henderson Little League for the second year in a row.

In 2011, the league was in danger of shutting down due to lack of funding from its previously regular sponsors. Brennan stepped in with a $10,000 donation that allowed the league to fund its entire season of games and tournaments.

At the 2012 season opener, Brennan had planned to commit another $10,000 until he heard that even more league sponsors had pulled their funding. Standing on the pitcher’s mound at Morrell Park in front of nearly a thousand Little League families, Brennan decided to do even more.

“Chuck surprised everyone in the crowd, and everyone within the league, by more than doubling his original commitment to $25,000,” said Henderson Little League President Todd Ream. “His generosity to the league and its family of players was simply overwhelming and greatly appreciated. Without his help, we would not have been able to give more than 600 kids a Little League season this year.”

According to Ream, many of the league’s major sponsors had dropped out citing economic factors. “The economy hit the league pretty hard the last few years and we really needed a large sponsor to help keep us operating.” Dollar Loan Center’s $25,000 donation will help us achieve our goals. We are all very thankful for that.”

Brennan’s generosity continued beyond his sponsorship of Henderson Little League’s 2012 season. He donated $500 to the opening night’s 50/50 fundraiser raffle, doubling the prize for one lucky family. And in a spontaneous act of compassion, he committed $5,000 to a Little League family whose child is battling cancer. The family’s son, Cody Clark, grew up playing baseball with Henderson Little League.

Clark, 20, took the stage to thank the Henderson Little League for dedicating the 2012 season to him and his family. He was diagnosed with cancer in his hip bone in January of 2012 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments to help reduce the football sized growth. Clark played Little League in Henderson from the time he was five years old until he was 15, according to Ream.

“Chuck Brennan’s generosity to the league and to the Clark family is just overwhelming,” said Ream. “We are like a big family and these donations will make a big difference for a lot of lives.”

Brennan is one of Nevada’s most recognized philanthropists, giving more than $500,000 annually to charities across the country. In 2011 alone, he supported Opportunity Village in several campaigns, the 15 Foundation, Henderson Little League, Boys and Girls Club, the Alice Cooper Solid Rock Foundation and dozens of other deserving organizations.

Brennan owns and operates 50 Dollar Loan Center locations throughout Southern Nevada, South Dakota, and Utah. The philanthropic stores maintain a continuous stream of generous giving by supporting a collection of established children based charities. In 2007, Entrepreneur Magazine listed the company among its “Hot 500” Fastest Growing Businesses and Entrepreneurs.” For more information, visit www.dontbebroke.com.

Dollar Loan Center CEO, Chuck Brennan hit one out of the park last night for the Henderson Little League organization. For the second year in a row, Dollar Loan Center was the single largest contributor to the Henderson Little League, allowing it to enter into it’s 25th season when it was near bankrupt just a few years back.

Mr. Brennan was scheduled to donate $10,000 to the organization but surprised everyone when he raised that amount to $25,000 in honor of their 25th anniversary.

But it didn’t stop there. He continued to add $500 to a 50/50 fundraiser raffle and then donated $5000 to a family who has a child that has been active in Henderson Little League sports for years and is now battling cancer.

The Internal Revenue Service is giving some help to taxpayers battling to cover their taxes as a result of unemployment or a substantial loss of earnings. The agency said Wednesday it’s going to give certain taxpayers a six-month grace period on “failure-to-pay” penalties, that are typically assessed every month a person is late paying their taxes.

With no grace period, a person who’s late paying their taxes initially incurs a fee of 0.5% of the government tax bill. That fee could increase the later they become — having a cap of 25%. However some taxpayers won’t incur any fees until Oct. 15.

Despite the fact that taxpayers won’t get hit with the penalty, they are going to still accrue interest throughout the six-month period. During the period of one year, that comes down to about 3% of the annual government tax bill.

Taxpayers who are eligible for this grace period will need to have been unemployed for 30 consecutive days or longer during 2011 or 2012 — up to the April 17 filing deadline this year. Self-employed taxpayers who saw their business income drop 25% plus because of the economy will also be eligible.

It comes with an income limitation, however. Married taxpayers who file jointly cannot claim income that exceeds $200,000, while a person who files as single or head of household cannot exceed $100,000 in income. Those people who are still qualified for the relief will have to complete Form 1127A, located on the internal revenue service website.

On top of the penalty relief, the government is allowing more taxpayers to spread out payments on their own tax bills. Taxpayers with bills up to $50,000 are qualified for installments — up from a previous cap of $25,000. Plus the taxpayers aren’t forced to file a fiscal statement to complete the task.

Taxpayers who owe in excess of $50,000 still have to complete a Collection Information Statement to be able to qualify.

The Internal Revenue Service also boosted the highest installment term to 6 years, up from 5 years. Taxpayers entering these new installment agreements have to enroll in monthly direct debit payments. And interest rates are still charged on the outstanding balance.

The brand new efforts announced Wednesday are an expansion of a continuing effort that began in 2008 targeted at helping taxpayers who sadly are struggling to cover their taxes.

Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan pulled out all the stops at his annual company holiday party recently. Bringing in his famous friends from around the country, the business owner and philanthropist helped raise nearly $300,000 for charity while giving 500 employees and guests a night to remember including $250,000 in cash and prizes.

“If there is a ‘best boss in America’ award, Chuck Brennan deserves it,” said Shon McKee, senior manager for Dollar Loan Center. “We got to experience an evening we will never forget and truly live like rock stars for the night.”

Brennan, a long-time rock music lover and former music industry executive, opened the evening with The Doors’ Robby Krieger playing “LA Woman,” followed by “Roadhouse Blues” with actor Val Kilmer, who famously portrayed Jim Morrison in the 1991 movie about the iconic band.

Brennan then introduced comedian-musician Gary Mule Deer, who entertained the audience before they were treated to a musical set that included rock legend Alice Cooper, Jack Blades of Night Ranger and Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac. The trio was accompanied by rock music legends Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer of the band KISS while Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley cheered in the audience. Brennan is long-time friends with the band and can always count on KISS when it comes to help raising money for great charities.

“It was an incredible, star-studded evening and I’m thrilled that everyone had such a good time,” said Brennan, “To be able to raise nearly $300,000 in a matter of minutes is very humbling.”

Over $200,000 of the donations are going directly to Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation. The Phoenix based, non-profit organization provides programs and resources for at-risk teens. “Chuck and his wife Mary are our biggest contributors and this event is absolutely amazing,” said Cooper, “They need to televise this event each year so everyone can witness it!”

During the evening, Brennan also announced a $20,000 donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in the name of Robby Krieger as well as a $10,000 donation to Rupert’s Kids, the nonprofit organization founded by Survivor’s Rupert Boneham who was also a guest at the event.

Throughout the evening, famed “Speed Painter” Rock Demarco showcased his talents with artwork that was created live at the event and auctioned off for more than $100,000.

“And of course Dollar Loan Center employees got their own surprises during the evening,” said Brennan. “Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer helped me give away four brand new KISS Mini Coopers to our staff” said Brennan. “Everyone walks away happy at our annual celebration. The prizes ranged from $100 in cash to a new car!”

The company has posted a 5 minute highlight video on the Dollar Loan Center YouTube page for public viewing.

Dollar Loan Center is a premier provider of payday loan alternatives in 50 locations throughout Nevada, South Dakota and Utah. Brennan, the company and its employees gave over half a million dollars last year to charitable organizations across the country.

Dollar Loan Center is the largest provider of short term credit services in South Dakota and Nevada. In 2007, Entrepreneur Magazine listed the company among its “Hot 500” Fastest Growing Businesses and Entrepreneurs.” For more information, visit http://www.dontbebroke.com.
