Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan Makes Third Annual Commitment To Henderson Baseball Club

Henderson Little League, the city’s largest youth baseball club, got a boost from Dollar Loan Center for its 2013 season. Chuck Brennan, the company’s CEO, made his third annual contribution to Henderson Little League at its opening ceremonies recently with a check for $10,000 and a commitment to support the organization for the next five years.

“This makes a total of $50,000 Dollar Loan Center has given to Henderson Little League,” said Brennan. “We believe that the league is great for the city of Henderson and families who live here. Henderson Little League is one of the reasons this city is one of the greatest places to live in Nevada and we are proud to be a part of its success.”

Hundreds of players, coaches, parents and volunteers were on hand to celebrate the league’s 2013 season opener, held at Heritage Park. Dollar Loan Center has been a major sponsor of the organization for the past three years and has given a total of $50,000 to provide the league with operating costs including uniforms, park fees, equipment and staffing at games.

“Henderson Little League is an incredible community organization that gives 600 children an opportunity to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, playing fair and of course the great game of baseball,” said Brennan. “I am happy to support such a great organization in our community.”

Henderson Little League was home to Nevada’s District 2 Champions in 2012, and Brennan provided an additional sponsorship to help the team attend the tournament.

Brennan is one of Nevada’s most recognized philanthropists, giving hundreds of thousands every year to organizations in Nevada and throughout the country. This year he is opening the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy which he founded in his hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Donate Your Unwanted Holiday Gifts

Forget about returning or re-purposing. End up being charitable with all your undesired holiday presents.

TheGivingEffect.com partners with over 1000 non profit organizations looking for a number of items, such as clothes, books, toys and games, home appliances, video and audio gear, gift certificates as well as artwork.

The majority of charitable groups take merchandise in “good” or “better” overall condition, however, many, especially children-related or healthcare facility companies, just take brand new merchandise. For example, the new jacket your child will probably decline to put on may help young kids within the Minneapolis region linked to the Family Partnership.

In fact even remaining party supplies go to use. Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco Bay Area can use the additional green and red bowls that may help take care of dogs age 7 and older.

To locate a charity whose requirements match that which you have to contribute, one may search by a particular need, that include mobile phones, clothes and accessories, or by category, as in pets, education and learning, and also sports and recreation. Additionally you can easily hunt for nearby charitable organizations simply by entering your own Postal Code on the website.

Things may be delivered, collected from the charity or sent, depending on the organization. The majority of charitable contributions usually are tax deductible, and receipts are usually sent out when the merchandise is received.

“The Heat Is On” Nets $15,000 Donation to Opportunity Village

For the third year in a row, Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan gave $15,000 to Opportunity Village from its annual “Heat Is On” summer promotion. Since 2010, the company has pledged $100 to the Las Vegas charity for every day the temperature in Southern Nevada reaches 100 degrees or more.

This year, the Las Vegas valley recorded 81 days of 100 + degree temperatures, up from 73 days in 2011. The company continued its tradition of rounding its commitment up to $15,000 for Opportunity Village.

“Dollar Loan Center is the perfect example of a caring, concerned local business that supports the community in which it operates,” said Linda Smith, chief development officer and Foundation associate executive director at Opportunity Village “’The Heat is On’ is a terrific fundraiser. Every day it is over 100 degrees, a cheer goes up at Opportunity Village! We are very grateful for our relationship with Dollar Loan Center and Chuck Brennan. There are three thousand people with disabilities and their families who call them heroes.”

Opportunity Village is one of Brennan’s favorite non-profits. In addition to his $45,000 in donations from the past three “Heat Is On” campaigns, he also supports the charity’s events and even creates his own fun challenges to raise money. In 2011, Brennan pledged $100 for every touchdown his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders, scored during the regular season.

The team scored 38 touchdowns and Brennan donated $3,800 to Opportunity Village. “It was a great way to cheer on the team and raise money for this great organization,” he said. “Opportunity Village does great work in Southern Nevada. It is a pleasure to help organizations that care so much about our community.”

Opportunity Village is NevadaÂ’s largest not-for-profit organization serving citizens with intellectual disabilities. It provides job training, employment and other important programs and services that enable its clients to live productive, engaged lives.

Brennan has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to community organizations including Opportunity Village and Henderson Little League. In both 2011 and 2012, Brennan was the largest single supporter of both Henderson Little League, which serves more than 600 youth baseball players, and Alice CooperÂ’s Solid Rock Foundation, which helps at risk youth in the Phoenix area.

Brennan is the majority owner of Dollar Loan Center and dontbebroke.com with 75 locations throughout California, Southern Nevada, South Dakota, and Utah.  This year, the company was named a “Best Place To Work” In Southern Nevada by Vegas Inc magazine.  Dollar Loan Center has received several industry awards from their peers for charitable work.  For more information, visit www.dontbebroke.com.

Chuck Brennan Announces Brennan Rock & Roll Academy in South Dakota

Southern Nevada entrepreneur and philanthropist Chuck Brennan is “giving back” to his hometown with a $3 million gift to the Boys & Girls Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Brennan Rock & Roll Academy will provide the first ever music education for children in the club, focusing on Rock & Roll instruments including guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.

The 6,000 square foot Academy is expected to open in the Spring and includes donated instruments from BrennanÂ’s famous friends like 5 Drum KitÂ’s from Joey Allen of Pearl Drums and Founder of Warrant, Guitars from KISS, and more from Alice Cooper and Mick Fleetwood.

Brennan, founder and CEO of Dollar Loan Center, operates businesses in Nevada, California, Utah and South Dakota. Born in South Dakota, his first major entrepreneurial effort was when he opened and operated one of the largest Rock & Roll concert halls in the Midwest, The Blitz Ballroom. Iconic bands including Joan Jett, Steppenwolf, Quiet Riot and Blue Oyster Cult all graced the stage at the Blitz during BrennanÂ’s ownership of the venue.

Since then, BrennanÂ’s love for Rock & Roll music has permeated his business ventures. Legends like Alice Cooper, KISS, Mick Fleetwood, Night Ranger and many others are personal friends and often make surprise appearances at Dollar Loan Center events. Alice Cooper, also a philanthropist and founder of the Solid Rock Foundation in Phoenix, was on hand to congratulate his friend during the announcement of the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy.

“I grew up with the Boys & Girls Club, and have a lot of respect for the work they do in our communities,” said Brennan. “I’m thrilled to share my love for music in general with kids who would normally not be able to afford to chase their musical passions.”

Brennan has already appointed a Rock & Roll Ambassador, Kory Van Sickle of the group Kory and the Fireflies. Van Sickle will consult and co-create with the organization, and serve as “…a living example for the students at Brennan Rock & Roll Academy…” said Brennan.

Members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire will receive one-on-one lessons with professional musicians, along with band rehearsals to prepare for performances with their peers. Van Sickle will also speak with Academy students and instructors, sharing his experiences with the intention of inspiring the future rock and rollers.

“The facility and music programs will all be offered free to members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire,” said Brennan. “Music is an important part of our culture and can benefit these kids in many different ways. Plus it is just cool!”

Brennan kicked off the Academy with a $100,000 upfront donation and a Three Million Dollar commitment to the program to get the entire state of the art facility up and running and keep it running for 20 years. The Academy is located in the historic Sioux Falls loop, a neighborhood for which Brennan spearheaded a redevelopment project that has sparked an entire neighborhood revitalization over the past 10 years.  He grew up just a few blocks from the Academy.

Brennan lives with his family in Southern Nevada and has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to community organizations including Opportunity Village and Henderson Little League. In both 2011 and 2012, Brennan was the largest single supporter of Henderson Little League which serves more than 600 youth baseball players in addition to Alice CooperÂ’s Solid Rock Foundation which helps at risk youth in the Phoenix area.
